Bending (BND) Tests
Bending tests are relatively simple, but we try to go the extra mile by extracting more information from them via their integration with DIC. Our experience with bending tests covers
- 3-point and 4-point bending tests via different approaches, including standard ones (per ISO 7438 and VDA 238-100) and a wide array of custom configurations
- For a wide range of metallic and non-metallic materials
- Integration with 2D or 3D DIC, as applicable
- For sheets and plate: evaluation of fracture strains under plane-strain loading (support the calibration of fracture models)
- Structural components: Flexural load-displacement curves for model validation
- Quasi-static rates, as well as intermediate and high rates
